So I recently started a band with two of my best friend Rafael and Kevin. I have been wanting for a while now to start a band and take my music to the next level.

Yesterday we had our first official band practice/jam session. It was more of a jam then real practice but we got some nice work done. Worked on 3 possible songs and a lot of grooving on rhythms and trading leads and vocals back and forth. It was nice to play together in that fashion. Not that this is the first time we have played together, in fact we have played together many times before. But I would say this is the first time with some real intent to be formed as a band and make music on a continuous level to be performed live and recorded in the future. Intent shapes purpose.

For now it’s just all 3 of us on Guitar, which could turn out to be very interesting when worked and we get the hang of really playing with each other. Of course there will more than likely be bass and drums incorporated in the future. Hopefully within the next few weeks we can really get some songs down so that way we can bring in some new members and fill out the band.

I am very excited to see where this goes. Hopefully in the direction that I expect it to. With some hard work, and dedication it will go far.

Here is a super rough garage recording of a one of the jams we were working on. The sound quality is not very good, but the music played is. Myself on rhythm, Kevin hitting up a mean solo, and Raf messing around with some vocal runs. This is more of us just having fun and being silly. But it turned out well.
